ABOUT ROSE KAKOZA
Rose Kakoza, MD, MPH, MBA, FACP is a practicing primary care physician and seasoned population health leader dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare delivery. As Senior Clinical Network Director for Population Health at ChristianaCare, Dr. Kakoza spearheads the development and implementation of innovative care delivery models aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, reducing total cost of care, and driving value-based care strategy and operations. She serves as the Senior Medical Director for the ChristianaCare Clinical Alliance—the health system’s clinically integrated network—as well as the system’s MSSP ACO (eBrightHealth), Medicaid ACO (Delaware Medicaid Partners), Medicare Advantage and commercial contracts. Dr. Kakoza also oversees the health systems award-winning, NCQA certified case management subsidiary organization, CareVio.Before her current role, Dr. Kakoza held pivotal positions at Mass General Brigham and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she played a crucial role in driving population health initiatives and advancing value-based care models, including serving as Assistant Medical Director for Medicaid in Population Health at Mass General Brigham and as the Medical Director for the Medicaid ACO at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is highly regarded for her population health expertise and primary care and specialty care-based innovations, which focus on medically complex patients, social determinants of health and complex behavioral health management. Dr. Kakoza’s passion lies in driving care delivery reform, advocating for health equity and dismantling barriers to quality care, particularly for underserved communities.
