ABOUT ROSE GILLESBY

With over two decades of leadership in animal health R&D, I have dedicated my career to advancing innovation and delivering impact across the veterinary profession. As a senior leader at Zoetis, I play a role in portfolio governance and strategy for the industry’s largest and most diverse R&D portfolio, ensuring that our pipeline delivers meaningful solutions to veterinarians, pet owners, and producers worldwide. My experience spans developing and executing operating plans, managing capital investments, and contributing as a member of the Veterinary Medicine Research and Development leadership team within a global, multi-national organization. These roles have equipped me to drive strategic growth and foster collaboration at every level, always with a focus on scientific excellence and operational effectiveness.Beyond my corporate responsibilities, I am deeply committed to advancing the future of veterinary medicine through service and advocacy. I am honored to serve as a Member of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Council, where I help shape educational and professional opportunities for the next generation of veterinarians. Additionally, my appointment to the Board of Directors for MichBio allows me to support the broader biosciences community, championing innovation and growth across Michigan’s life sciences sector.My journey began as a mixed animal practitioner in rural Michigan, and I have served as an Council member, bringing a unique perspective rooted in hands-on care and animal welfare. These experiences fuel my passion and purpose: to deliver transformative innovations that support veterinarians, enhance the health and well-being of pets and their owners, and contribute to a safe, sustainable global food supply. I am driven by a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and the belief that veterinary science can change lives—one breakthrough at a time.
