ABOUT ROSE ALBERT
I am a PhD Candidate and NHLBI F31/NIEHS T32 trainee at the University of Pennsylvania. My thesis work in the lab of Krithika Lingappan at the Children\'s Hospital of Philadelphia seeks to understand sex chromosome-mediated mechanisms of early life pulmonary oxygen toxicity. My research interests include sex differences in lung development, social and environmental determinants of respiratory health, and health policy interventions toward environmental justice. My goal is to apply my experiences in environmental leadership, social justice advocacy, and public health policy toward a career providing scientific and policy support to communities most impacted by environmental injustice and the climate crisis.
