ABOUT OSCAR NG

Hi! My name is Oscar Ng. I am a Senior at The University of San Diego majoring in finance at the Knauss School of Business. I am a very group oriented and adaptable student as well as a leader with high aspirations. As a member of the Financial Services Club at Indiana University I competed in an investment banking case competition where my team and I placed second. As a part of this competition, I was assigned a random group and we had to put together a proposal for a large company. Over the course of a week, I worked diligently alongside my team to research and formulate a strategy. Here is where I learned the importance of working with new people respectfully and effectively. When I was a sophomore in high school my family decided to move to Georgia after living in California for almost nine years. By joining my new track and cross country team I learned to step out of my comfort zone and accept change because change leads to new experiences which help us develop as people. During my time as a busser in the restaurant industry I learned how to lead others effectively and efficiently by mentoring and directing new hires. In the future I aspire to work in the financial services industry and then later on in the asset management industry.
