ABOUT ROSANNA GILES
With experience spanning education, business, and community engagement, I currently serve as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator for Maryville City Schools, where I foster student growth through community-involved learning. After several years of business and accounting experience, I began teaching, training, and development at the secondary education level. I am passionate about motivating and building capacity in others, especially in training students to become work-ready. My students have earned post secondary credit through the courses I have taught and I serve as work based learning coordinator as well as department head at Maryville High School. While in industry, I excelled at maintaining a positive, interactive role with boards of directors, audit committees, and management. I have carried those skills into my current position in education by networking to secure work placements and internships for secondary students. Passionate about community partnerships, I am dedicated to helping students develop employability skills, confidence, and connections needed to succeed in the workforce. My first “real” job was working as a receptionist at a car dealership during high school. I credit my professional success to the employability skills I learned during that formative time through the mentorship at that organization. Specialties: Strong financial background with experience in governmental, non-profit, manufacturing, and small businesses business practices. Outstanding training, supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills. Continual building and strengthening relationships and networks.
