As a team member of the Business Development and Trade Unit, I help the Agency make strategic economic investments to support business needs and foster economic growth in the province of British Columbia. Since I started my role at PacifiCan, I have assessed economic proposals and funding applications from businesses and not for profit organizations and successfully obtained ministerial approval worth more than $20M in federal funding. I have also developed and maintained collaborative working relationships with clients and stakeholders to advance projects and initiatives in a number of important industries and economic sectors in the province such as tourism, agriculture, forestry, clean technology, etc. I have been involved in making strategic funding recommendations for the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund, Tourism Relief Fund, and Regional Innovation Ecosystem Program.
