ABOUT ROSALIYO SAMUEL

I\'m a PhD-qualified Mechanical Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in crash simulation and CAE analysis, having worked with leading automotive OEMs including Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Rivian, and Charge. My technical expertise lies in full-vehicle crashworthiness, battery safety systems, and composite material analysis using advanced tools such as LS-DYNA, ANSA, Oasys, and ANSYS. With a strong foundation built at Anglia Ruskin University, where I completed both my undergraduate and doctoral studies; I’ve also contributed to academic research, led university-level teaching, and mentored aspiring engineers. My doctoral research focused on the design and optimisation of carbon fibre composite crush absorbers to enhance energy absorption in EV crashes. Throughout my career, I’ve maintained a keen interest in advancing EV safety and simulation-led design. I\'ve published peer-reviewed research, delivered technical presentations, and collaborated across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation in automotive engineering. Beyond engineering, I actively promote STEM education as a former STEM Ambassador and served as the Administrator of the Engineering Society at ARU, organizing events that bridge academia and industry.
