Bilingual counselor with a combined 20 years in K-14 education & social services policy experience. Experienced in US Department of Education TRiO grant funded programs: Education Opportunities Center (EOC), Upward Bound (UB), Student Support Services Program work experiences with rural, foster, migrant, farmworker, homeless, disabled, and historically underrepresented students as well as parent and community engagement. A passionate advocate for people with disabilities to empower and develop their full potential. I have a proven track record of working closely with clients, their families and other professionals to educate and enlighten individuals about disability support services and healthcare systems. Strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Outside of work I enjoy mentoring first-gen/PUENTE/TRiO students, and volunteering.
