ABOUT ROSALIA DALESSANDRO

Application Security: security analisys of new system/features to identify security requirements in the design phase, security testing/penetration testing of web and mobile apps, security testing of network infra, cloud security (focused on aws)- Mobile Security: development of a systema for Android app analysis (goodware and malware). Within the SMAPPER project founded by EIT Digital I lead the development of a system that estimates the risk level of mobile apps and allows users to: 1) obtain a reliable third party evaluation of the security level of a mobile application and 2) easily detect risky/critical behaviour patterns and unusual/anomalous permissions before the app’s actual installation. The system counts an app to install on the user device and a backend service to automatically identify critical behaviour patterns and anomalous permissions, and to perform sophisticated analyses to spot information leaks together with their sinks and other malicious activities in an app. Mobile Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering: developed a system foro mobile malware analysis- 5G Security. I\'m working on the security of 5G network in terms of architecture and protocols. My goal is address and resolve in the 5G network the threats discovered in the current mobile networks. This activity also includes working in the 3GPP standards- GSM security: analysis of the new attack scenarios in the GSM network through open source software.
