About Rosa di Grottole

I have a deep passion for learning, teaching, sharing and embarking on journeys through both time and space. My profession is a constant source of inspiration and a wonderful platform for creating, connecting with, and learning from people while sharing our unique stories and cultures.I was lucky enough to be born in a small town in Basilicata, Italy and to have started following my dreams in Florence and Paris, where I studied and lived during my youth. After some years in Lucca (Tuscany), I moved to the US in 2016. Since then I added many new facets to my education, work experience, and life.In my educational journey I earned two M.A. degrees cum Laude in Art History and in Teaching Italian to foreigners. This valuable interdisciplinary approach, in addition of being a native speaker, enables me to provide a unique perspective to each of my students. With several years of experience teaching both College students and adults (in private and group classes, in person and online) one of my strengths as Language instructor and Neurolanguage coach is my ability to adapt to different teaching environments. As an Art History instructor and Study Abroad leader in Italy, I love sharing with my students the beauty and the history of artworks, cities and museums. Beside visiting iconic sites, we experience itineraries that are off the beaten paths to really appreciate Italy’s genuine cultural tapestry. In my roles of Academic Creative Director at the Italian Dream Academy and as Assistant Director of the Italian Language Program at OSU, I am skilled in managing administrative tasks related to academic programs, such as curriculum development, course planning, and coordinating events. I actively collaborate with colleagues, provide support, and foster a culture of kindness, empathy, and continuous improvement. I\'m constantly learning and looking for opportunities to improve and stay up to date on the latest and best practices in World Language Pedagogy, and I’m committed to help prepare students to become global citizens who can communicate effectively and respectfully across cultures and borders. “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.“ Pablo Picasso
