About Rosa Hathaway

I began my engineering career in the oil and gas industry working on hot things: burners, flares and electric submersible pumps (pumps that go in the ground). I transitioned into aerospace engineering with an internship at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. After NASA, I spent 10 years at SpaceX as a propulsion engineer working on even hotter things: rocket engines and turbomachinery (pumps that go to space!). I gained experience in nearly all engineering aspects: manufacturing, design, analysis, testing, failure investigations and risk management. But above all, I got to work with and learn from the most amazing engineering team on this planet. Favorite memory? making history as the first private company to send humans into space. Turns out, life is non-linear, so I made the pivot into investing with Atento Capital team because I found an unique mission where I can apply my skillsets to create opportunities and use innovation to make a long-lasting impact in my community.
