I manage a division of 25+ staff and $14 million annual operating budget in a strongly multimodal-minded college town of located in the heart of the Willamette Valley, home to Oregon State University (OSU). My division includes three supervisors and their teams, responsible for: Transportation Services• Operation of the contracted fare-less Corvallis Transit System, Benton County, and ADA Paratransit services• A municipal airport• Public parking system and residential permit districts• Active transportation programs and projects (walking and bicycling)Street Maintenance• Asphalt patching, crack and slurry seal• Concrete repairs including the City’s unique fee-funded annual district-based Sidewalk Safety program• Street sweeping• Winter operations (plowing, sanding, and de-icing)• Paint and signs• Vegetation trimming and mowingTraffic Engineering• Traffic signal operations• Community service requests investigation and evaluation• Streetlights, crosswalk flashing beacons, speed radar feedback signs, and parking metersI also serve as a City representative to regional partners including the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Benton County, and the Corvallis Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and interact frequently with the community and City Council on transportation issues.
