Experienced consultancy based fluvial geomorphologist with a demonstrated history of working on fluvial problems, with expertise using a range of analytical methods to inform decisions. Passionate about conservation and restoration of natural environments, particularly rivers.I have experience of fine and coarse sediment sampling using grab samplers and Wolman count methodologies. Experience of river restoration planning, fluvial audits and recommending methods to control fine sediment input at catchment and local scale. Experience with topographic survey equipment including dGPS/RTK pole survey, ADCP survey using torrent and boat mountings for bathymetry and, dumpy level measurements.Flow gauging and velocity monitoring for fish entrapment, and aquatic habitat baseline assessment using Sontek FlowTracker ADV, M9 ADCPs, handheld Valeport and scaffold mounted Marine Valeports for estuarine environments.Experience of desk and field based erosion risk mapping.Experience of projects with multiple stakeholders and working towards pragmatic solutions for these groups.GIS expert user, Microsoft excel, and Python coding skills for analysis, and GIS scripting.Experience working on fluvial geomorphology based impact assessments related to water regulation and within environments downstream from reservoirs.Chartered Geographer CGeog (Geomorph) FRGS.Familiar with most hydraulic modelling packages used in the fluvial water sector.Bachelor of Science (BSc) Environmental Geography from University of Salford.
