ABOUT RONNI JILLIONS

Ronni has extensive experience in patent prosecution, patentability and infringement/validity opinions, and licensing, and has been involved in patent prosecution in technologies including telecommunications, computer software, computer hardware, and other electrical and mechanical technologies. These include neural networks, medical imaging, photocopiers, memory configurations, circuit testing machines, semiconductor design and applications, optics, wireless telephony, image recognition, and other electrical, computer and mechanical devices. Ronni also has experience in all aspects of litigation, from the initiation of lawsuits through trial. Technologies of the litigations in which she was involved include genetically engineered corn, telecommunications, heat shields for automobiles, and cosmetics products. Ronni’s litigation experience includes extensive work on damages case preparation, and particularly reasonable royalty cases. Ronni also has experience in advising clients in connection with clearing trademarks and prosecuting trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She has also represented clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. PTO.Prior to entering private practice in the early 1980’s, Ronni worked as a U.S. patent examiner in the computer arts, examining patent applications in computer hardware and software, including special purpose and general purpose computer systems, and prior to that she worked as an applications programmer with experience in design and implementation of applications for computer inventory control systems and other applications software. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Washington University of St. Louis in 1978 and a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in 1982.Specialties: patent and trademark prosecution before USPTO, trademark oppositions and cancellation proceedings, interferences, patent reexamination proceedings
