With over 14 years of leadership experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and skilled College and Career Planning Assistant at Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). I have a BA and an MA in African American Studies, with minors in Women\'s Studies and African Studies, which inform my approach to promoting a college-going and career readiness culture within the school and the community. In my current role, I guide Rufus King High School students on various post-secondary options, providing comprehensive assistance with SAT/ACT preparation, college applications, and financial aid opportunities. I also coordinate and execute the college and career readiness components of the campus advisory curriculum, facilitating presentations by college admissions representatives and organizing valuable college field trips. Additionally, I manage data collection, maintain records, compile statistical information, and prepare reports on student outcomes and program effectiveness. I collaborate with educational institutions, industry partners, and relevant organizations to expand the program\'s reach and impact.
