Oversee and responsible for guiding all aspects of the Henry Vilas Zoo including staff, operations and strategic planning around working towards shared goals with the zoo\'s support organization, Friends of the Henry Vilas Zoo. Henry Vilas Zoo houses over 700 animals and employs 21 full time county staff. Oversee and implement all capital improvements including the most recently opened Wisconsin Heritage Exhibit. Led the planning and construction of the award winning Arctic Passage exhibit, which received the 2016 AZA \"Top Honors\" in the operating budget under $5 million category. Arctic Passage was the largest expansion in the zoo’s 106 year history and added the Glacier Grille, the zoo\'s first ever indoor restaurant overlooking the polar bear yard. Responsible for all strategic and collection planning and capital improvements including a $2.4 million dollar Animal Health Center built in 2012 and revamping the zoo\'s master plan for the next ten years. Responsible for overseeing and managing the annual operating budget plus all capital budget items.
