ABOUT RONDA GOULDEN

I value the outdoors and Alberta\'s amazing landscapes, including all that Crown land brings to Albertans. I co-design paths with diverse stakeholder groups, building buy-in through intense listening and the finding of common interests, a shared vision. A career highlight was the creation of Kitaskino Nuwenëné Wildland in northeastern Alberta, a protected space bringing together indigenous groups, industry and levels of government for a powerful outcome.I create safe places to break down complexity and challenge thinking. I mix high ideals with grounded reality and have achieved legislative reform in a number of areas including family law, recycling/extended producer responsibility and prompt payment in the construction industry. It is my passion to create and implement excellent user-centric public policy.For my championship of diversity and inclusion in my role as Executive Co-Sponsor of the Afro-Heritage Employee Resource Group, I was nominated for a Premier’s Public Service Award in 2023. It is a joy to support and learn from this group.And I strive to stay grounded with those whose lives are different from mine. It is my pleasure to advocate for, and recently Chair the Board of, For Her Dignity, a small charity committed to the elimination of period poverty for women in Africa and the Middle East.
