My Responsibilities include-Representing the National Alliance and promoting its priorities before federal agencies,the executive branch, and on Capitol Hill—with particular focus on members ofCongress, such as appropriators and authorizers-Harnessing the support of stakeholder groups to support charter schools on the Hill-Creating and executing events, such as school visits and staff briefings, to educatemembers of Congress and staff about charter schools-Managing the development and maintenance of internal records that track charterschools and its advocates; budget and appropriations numbers; and other prioritiesas directed-Assisting with the research and development of policy positions and issues; drafting thecollateral necessary—such as \"Dear Colleagues\" or letters to appropriators and theExecutive Branch on appropriations and budget matters—to advance ourlegislative and policy priorities-Representing the National Alliance at relevant coalition, Congressional, and othermeetings as appropriate-Monitoring Congressional Committees for hearings, markups, and other proceedingsthat may be of relevance to the charter school community- requests for information and technical assistance, especially from statecharter school organizations and Congressional offices.
