ABOUT RONAN STEYN

I am an experienced Creative Director and Content Strategist excited about visual storytelling across multimedia. I combine my skills as a strong storyteller - underpinned by an academic background in narrative fundamentals - with the ability to provide a strategic vision for teams to get behind and flourish within.I am equally comfortable presenting to the c-suite or connecting with a technical expert. I am able to align company goals and creative ambitions to foster performance and demonstrate how creatives contribute to business success.Fascinated by disruptive technologies, I have explored the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to the video production process incorporating speech-to-text workflows to improve efficiency across teams.I have taken a number of Executive Education courses across various verticals and notably hold a MIT Sloan Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management.I also have a Masters in Screenwriting from the University of Cape Town. A short film I co-wrote - http://thebearsuitmovie.co.za - had a successful run on the international festival circuit including screenings at The Brooklyn Short Film Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.My skills include people management, content strategy, creative direction, working collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders, overseeing on-location and in-studio production and post-production.
