Monitoring multiple real time information sources to maintain an accurate overview of all police operations in the City and identify high risk or serious incidents. Optimize police response by ensuring that resources are appropriately distributed and acquiring additional resources as the situation dictates. Ensuring that appropriate command and control structures are put in place and taking command of incidents or events as appropriate or required. Director of City of Seattle 911 Center - largest and busiest 911 Center in the Pacific Northwest. Responsible for all incoming 911 calls, all non-emergency police calls, police dispatch, management of the Seattle Alert notification system for the Seattle Police Department, and web based/telephone police reporting system. Management of 911 phone system, the police radio system, and the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Oversight of digital telephone and radio recording system and the maintenance, distribution and analysis of calls for investigative and public disclosure.
