   My participation in National Committees and projects led to an invitation to lead Diversity & Inclusion on a national scale. Today, I lead Kaiser Permanente’s diversity and inclusion efforts to further create and sustain an inclusive cultural competency that supports the mission of the organization. I head the national efforts to ensure Kaiser Permanente remains a trailblazer in diversity and inclusion by continuing to advance workforce diversity and inclusion, expand supplier diversity efforts, reduce health disparities within diverse and underserved populations, and achieve market growth across diverse population segments. Under my leadership as Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Kaiser Permanente has achieved top standings in Diversity Inc’s Top Companies for Diversity list, reaching No. 1 in 2016. Other significant achievements include: Hand-picked to provide oversight for the Kaiser Permanente Institute for Culturally Competent Care and 12 Centers of Excellence. Initiated collection of member demographic data to allow system to view treatment outcome data through the lens of diversity and inclusion. Through this work, we eliminated disparities among black and Latino HIV-positive patients for mortality and medication rates. We also removed racial and ethnic disparities in the control of blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose among our African-American Medicare members. Selected as an Executive Sponsor for Kaiser Permanente’s School of Medicine (to open 2019). I developed a business case with comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy.Recently appointed as member of KP School of Medicine Board of Directors (to open 2019)
