About Ronalda Angasan

As a broadband and tribal affairs executive, I have over 25 years of experience leading and managing various programs, projects, and teams supporting rural and tribal communities in Alaska. I have a bachelor of science degree in human resources management and a bachelor of applied science degree in sociology, which equip me with the skills and knowledge to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and partners.Currently, I am the managing member of Far North Strategies, a consulting firm that provides management consulting and planning services to Alaska Native villages and organizations. I am also the vice president of broadband and tribal affairs at Alaska Village Initiatives. This non-profit corporation promotes and fosters community and economic development in rural Alaska. In these roles, I oversee the grant writing, administration, and implementation of multiple programs that enhance the access, affordability, and adoption of broadband and agriculture in remote areas. I also coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies and media outlets to raise awareness and support for the issues and opportunities facing rural and tribal communities. My mission is to empower and enable these communities to achieve their goals and aspirations through broadband and agriculture programs.
