Humanetics is a privately-held clinical-stage specialty pharmaceutical company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Company is developing a proprietary new drug candidate, called BIO 300, to prevent radiation damage and to mitigate acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.\\\\n\\\\nHumanetics lead product candidate is an oral prophylactic drug called BIO 300. It is intended to prevent radiation damage and to mitigate acute and chronic inflammatory diseases. It is a small molecule originally in-licensed from the U.S. Department of Defense. Activation of the drug’s molecular target promotes DNA protection and repair and activates anti-inflammatory pathways at the cellular level. BIO 300 is being developed for military use under the FDA animal rule. It is also being tested in Phase 2 clinical trials to mitigate long-term pulmonary damage in COVID-19 survivors and to improve treatment outcomes following lung cancer radiotherapy. The Company is further exploring product line extensions for other diseases associated with an inflammatory response such as fatty liver disease, pancreatitis, and myocarditis.\\\\n\\\\nHumanetics is pursuing several near-term commercial revenue opportunities for BIO 300. The Company currently has the potential to receive Emergency Use Authorization for sale of BIO 300 to both protect soldiers on the battlefield and to mitigate lung damage caused by COVID-19. In addition, the Company anticipates FDA approval of BIO 300 for military use, whereupon it would receive a Priority Review Voucher from the FDA with a secondary market value of approximately $100M.
