ABOUT RONALD HICKEY

I’m a recent graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics and a concentration in Agribusiness Markets and Management. Through my academic and professional experiences, I’ve built a strong foundation in global markets and developed a growing interest in how sustainability, data, and economic forces influence financial decision making. I’m eager to apply this perspective in a professional setting while continuing to learn and grow within the finance industry.I’ve gained hands on experience as a Scholar and Peer Coach with the Greenwood Project, where I completed an intensive finance training program, pitched an equity investment in a competitive stock presentation, and mentored high school scholars interested in finance careers. I’ve also worked as an Operations Manager at Storage Squad, managing day-to-day operations, improving customer experience, and increasing efficiency through better processes and coordination.Across these roles, I’ve developed strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. I’m highly motivated to pursue a career in finance where I can contribute value, support data-driven decisions, and grow in a collaborative, results oriented environment.
