Provides administrative guidance for the local activity assigned. Manages and oversees the day to day Ops Controls that service the installations involved in the performance of multifunctional 1M/IT activities (networks, desktop support, records management, etc). Maintains an overview of all programs within the local facility, to ensure all are aligned and supportive of the ACE-IT missions. Directs all policy, procedural, and operational changes to increase program effectiveness and mission accomplishments. Establishes local priorities, clarifies responsibilities, eliminates duplication and resolves conflicts. Responsibilities include asset management; coordinates the resources, determines optimum approach and provides technical and policy direction. Provides or arranges for technical and interpretive information to other staff and assures rapid and effective response to tasks and directives pertaining to operations, support requirements and crisis action. As the Operations Officer, participates in determining overall strategic plan for near-term and long-range goals and objectives. Ensures equity among teams; determining whether contractor performed work meets standards of adequacy necessary for authorization of payment.
