Provide management support for 5 community centers in the Southwest Geographic area of Seattle, WA; managing teen activities citywide; serve as public liaison between Seattle Parks and Recreation, citizens, and outside organizations; present program and project updates to Seattle Parks Board; meet with partnership agencies, advisory councils and other neighborhood citizen groups to address issues and interpret City policies, procedures and programs; meet with division directors and other managers to help formulate department-wide strategies, annual work programs, program policies and procedures; support line supervisors and staff; prepare and review narrative and statistical reports, purchase requisitions and major work orders; respond to citizen complaints and inquiries by recommending and implementing corrective action when necessary; draft correspondence and respond to public claims; provide leadership on specific work plan items, special assignments, hiring processes, and other projects and programs assigned by the division director; facilitate and develop staff trainings; serve on and facilitate committees; monitor and report on relevant budgets; assist with biennial budget development; develop and maintain good working relationships with community groups and attend a variety of community meetings; review administrative systems such as equipment inventory, class enrollment, cash handling and risk management; provide audits of recreation facilities to ensure accordance with city of department policies and practices; support communication facilitation and staff follow through.
