ECC Supervision, client, designer & principal contractor support: Rock armour and culvert remediation and retrofitting works mainly, with revetment and toe beam remedial works and access track construction. Stallingborough is a village located in North East Lincolnshire, south of Immingham and close to the mouth of the Humber Estuary. The village itself is set back from the frontage but parts of the village and a large surrounding area are at tidal flood risk from the estuary. The 4.5km existing flood defences reduce the risk of flooding to the area and run from Middle Drain Pumping Station to the northwest to New Cut Drain Outfall to the southeast. This £25M project is the third and final phase of improvement works in the area and will manage the tidal flood risk from breaching of the defences along the frontage over the next 25 years.
