As the Assistant Parks Maintenance Manager, I play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and innovative operation of all ride assets within the park. My responsibilities span daily operations oversight, long-term planning, and hands-on leadership, including:Overseeing daily operations and performance of ride assets, ensuring optimal uptime and guest experience.Coordinating annual maintenance schedules and ensuring timely execution across all attractions.Partnering with engineering teams to develop creative and cost-effective repair solutions for complex technical challenges.Mentoring supervisors and frontline maintenance staff, fostering growth and cross-functional skill development.Managing capital projects and major repairs, collaborating with operations, esthetics, and design departments for cohesive execution.Spearheading system and process improvements to streamline workflow and boost efficiency.Encouraging staff development by creating opportunities for them to work outside their primary trades.Leading and contributing both independently and as part of diverse project teams.Working closely with design and manufacturing to ensure rethemed ride assets are compliant with safety standards and engineering codes.Coordinating with AEDERSA, Alberta’s amusement ride regulatory authority, to ensure adherence to all governing codes and safety regulations.This role allows me to combine strategic planning, technical knowledge, and leadership to maintain a safe, innovative, and visually compelling park

Over time, I’ve grown into leadership roles including Construction Coordinator, RFI Coordinator, and Workface Planner, where I’ve successfully managed multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale projects.Earlier in my career, I also worked in advertising art and design, which continues to influence the way I approach challenges—with creativity, precision, and attention to detail.For the past 7 years, I’ve applied my skills in the amusement ride industry, steadily advancing into management roles due to my technical background, strategic thinking, and ability to lead high-performing teams.
