About Ron Schults

Ron is recognized as one of the most notable waterfront, shoreline, and marina design experts in the world, and often speaks on the topic at national and international conferences. His combined passion for community development, coastal engineering, structural engineering, and sailing, inspired him to focus on projects that help preserve our waterways and sustain the economic growth and vitality of waterfront communities across the United States and around the world. He has personally designed multiple successful waterfront projects including over 400 marinas valued in excess of $150 million and applies that real-world experience on behalf of clients and community partners who are working to create sustainable and responsible waterfront development projects. Ron has over 45 years experience with marinas. Ron founded his first Engineering Firm, Abonmarche Group in 1979 at the age of 21 in Michigan. The firm grew to over 100 professionals. Ron founded the Edgewater companies in 2010/2022.
