After serving almost 24 years in the military, I was very excited for the opportunity to work at North America’s Premier Railroad, Union Pacific.I hired on as an employment manager traveling the western two-thirds of the United States testing and interviewing potential employees for careers with the nation’s oldest and largest railroad. In 2008, I was assigned as the recruitment manager in St Paul, MN recruiting, screening, scheduling, testing, interviewing and in- processing employees into a variety of crafts for the Twin Cities Service Unit. In 2010, I was transferred as a recruitment manager to the largest classification yard in the World, Bailey Yard in North Platte, NE. I continue to recruit and process potential candidates for Union Pacific. This area stretches over 625 miles and is Union Pacific’s largest service unit headquartered out of North Platte, NE.
