Role Summary: Work at the interface of computational biology, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, and AI/ML, developing scalable solutions to accelerate drug discovery. Key Duties:*Pipeline Development & Cloud Deployment: Designing and implementing modular Nextflow pipelines for spatial transcriptomics, high-content imaging, and multiomics workflows, deployed on Google Cloud Platform for scalability, reproducibility, and integration into enterprise data environments.*AI/ML Enablement: Supporting machine learning teams by preparing and refining datasets from digital histopathology and cell painting assays, enabling the development of foundational models for tissue biology and drug discovery. I also help test, validate, and refine AI-driven cell annotation models in digital histopathology, ensuring robust performance and biological relevance.*Digital Histopathology & High-Content Imaging: Analyzing high-content imaging readouts such as cell painting datasets of 2D and 3D cell cultures to assess drug response and toxicity. Developing novel cell segmentation strategies to improve assay accuracy and predictive power.*Cross-functional Collaboration: Operating within a matrix environment, partnering with wet-lab scientists, data engineers, and AI/ML specialists to deliver analysis-ready datasets across multiple therapeutic programs.*Predictive Omics Modeling: Leveraging cell-painting data to predict molecular and omics-level outcomes, bridging image-based phenotyping with high-dimensional multiomics datasets.This role allows me to combine expertise in computational biology, multiomics, cloud engineering, and AI/ML to support cutting-edge research in spatial biology, drug safety, and data-driven discovery.
