1. Senior Director of Programming

   After 10 years as program manager, during which time I created the TV schedules for WGBH and WGBX and shepherded the expansion of the latter from a part-time \"repeat\" station to a second full-service public television station for the Boston market, I became director of programming in 2001. In that capacity I work with the associate director of programming on the WGBH and WGBX schedules; have forged partnerships with regional films festivals to bring a strong slate of independent films to WGBH viewers, and have created annual TV opera and dance festivals. Since 2004, I have also overseen the programming for WGBH\'s multicast channels-the largest expansion of the station\'s television services since 1967-including the WORLD channel, which since 2007 has been nationally distributed to more than 60 markets across the US. In the fall of 2005, I was elected to the board of directors of the Public Television Programmers\' Association, a professional development association of which I became vice president in 2006 and president (for a one-year term) in 2007. In 2010, I received an Outstanding Leadership Award from the PTPA and in 2013, a programmer of the year award from American Public Television. In 2023, I received the Jerry Trainor Mentorship Award from the PTPA. Also, from 1990 to 1995, as a sideline, I wrote host Diana Rigg\'s commentary for the PBS series \"Mystery!\"
