Monitor the flow of WIP and parts through the entire factory to ensure each department is achieving the build plan set for them. Preside over near term plans, as required, to maximize overall factory output by managing the build mix of various models from macro to micro levels as needed-monitoring hour by hour throughput to stay tightly coordinated with the ratios of part variants coming off the end of lines. Adjusting the sequencing of build priorities starting into Production lines based on downstream conditions such as immediate demand changes, material constraints, equipment availability and other extenuating factors. Act as a leader / point of contact for the factory when issues arise (e.g. material shortage / equipment breakdown / quality issues) and pulling the appropriate resources together to develop a plan (e.g. change the near-term sequence, trigger part deviations and using service/MTT resources in the interim ) and action it to protect production output. Identify & articulate the risks that exist to factory due to the current state of the system and recommended actions ( e.g. Due to inclement weather over affecting transit loops to the factory, we expect to be limited of usual packaging materials therefore recommend we assess alternate materials or pending maintenance windows) Identify structural issues / opportunities for improvement to the systems, processes or structure based on the operational performance you monitor and communicate this back to the key stakeholders to take action Participate in the daily operational review for production to maintain close understanding on the health of the factory. Work with NPI on trial management and support SOP. Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment and drive updates through and forth facilities in GFNV > GA > GFTX > GFS and other service center facilities. Assist with inventory control activities & other auxiliary functions as needed throughout the factory.
