ABOUT ROMANO REY

My diverse roots in Mexico, Peru, and Italy shape who I am. I am someone who values collaboration, adaptability, and the drive to make a difference. I grew up in Lima, Peru, and even though I’ve lived in different places, Peru will always be home. The flavors, colors, and culture of my country taught me to embrace diversity and approach challenges with creativity.I’m currently a sophomore at Loyola Marymount University studying Finance and Accounting. I’ve always been curious about how things work and how ideas can be turned into real businesses. That curiosity has taken me from optimizing logistics at a craft brewery in Lima, to researching international markets in Madrid, to working with teams at LMU where we built a startup in just 72 hours and won first place. Along the way I take every opportunity that presents to me.Beyond academics and work, I enjoy connecting with people and learning from different perspectives. Whether it’s collaborating on a project, adapting to a new culture, or taking on leadership roles on campus, I always try to bring energy, empathy, and a problem-solving mindset.Looking forward, I see myself growing in consulting and accounting to better understand what makes businesses succeed or fail. One day, I hope to use those lessons to build something of my own that creates value for others.
