About Romano M. Orlando
I\'m passionate about serving patients.As a Sr. Associate within Amgen\'s Business Analytics team, I work closely with operations to solve complex business cases, drive operational excellence, reimagine standard operating procedures, and fuel efficiency. Within Amgen Finance I support the financial analysis, financial modeling, and business case management of product site selections, clinical trial cost analyses, investigator sponsored studies, cost to launch analyses, and business development opportunities. For my previous role at Amgen, I worked closely with the industry\'s most talented scientists and engineers to ensure financial, headcount, and operational strategies are at peak performance. By doing so, I helped the Engineering sub-vertical of Operations achieve its KPI\'s within construction project management, worker safety, environmental monitoring, and sustainability.At the University of Southern California, I was one of roughly ten students to graduate through USC\'s Honors Neuroscience program- penning a 20-page neuroeconomics thesis, working hours of clinical research, and raising over $10k of research grants to do so. In those same four years, I obtained an M.S in Translational Biotechnology through the USC Keck School of Medicine in partnership with the USC Marshall School of Business. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and presented my program work to distinguished faculty, researchers and deans of the medical school.In conjunction with my professional life, I\'m an avid Denver Broncos fan, mentor to college students, espresso and wine aficionado, voracious reader, and husband to my college sweetheart.
