Eloquent Dance is a leading dance organisation and creative movement company based in Birmingham, UK, dedicated to shaping the next generation of powerful dancers, performers, and creative leaders. We specialise in Hip Hop and Contemporary dance training, fusing artistic excellence with purpose, innovation, and community impact.We exist to empower young people through dance, championing creativity, confidence, and character development both on and off the stage. Our work spans training, performance, education, outreach, and talent development, providing pathways into the creative industries for children, young people, and emerging artists.Through our Eloquent Dance Youth Academy, Eloquent College (Post-16)[Launching 2026], and a growing portfolio of school and community programmes, we deliver high-quality technical training, performance opportunities, and leadership development for dancers aged 3–25 and beyond. ABOUT ROMANAH BUCHANAN
I began my entrepreneurial journey at just 17, co-founding Eloquent Dance, a social enterprise committed to empowering communities through the power of the performing arts(dance), mentoring and community. This work earned The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest accolade for community work in the UK.As the CEO and Artistic Director of Eloquent Dance, I lead an award-winning company pushing creative boundaries.My accolades include being named one of Birmingham’s Top 30 Under 30 Most Inspirational Young People in 2019, Author of the Year in 2021, and the prestigious West Midlands Lieutenancy Young Active Citizen Award in 2022.Beyond the arts, I am a qualified lecturer and thought leader in education and social entrepreneurship, currently shaping the next generation of performers.
