Commissioned into the U.S. Army Reserve in February 2024 as a recipient of the U.S. Army Veterinary Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP), a three-year scholarship awarded to 33 veterinary students nationwide attending an AVMA-accredited program.• Upon graduating veterinary school in May 2027, will commission into the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps as a Veterinary Corps Captain and complete the First Year Graduate Veterinary Education (FYGVE) Program, a year-long hands-on training covering clinical medicine, public health, leadership, and hospital management.• Committed to an active duty obligation of one year per year of scholarship support, with a minimum service requirement of three years.• Will serve as a Veterinary Corps Captain, supporting the Warfighter by overseeing food safety, conducting security inspections, and providing medical care for military working dogs, ceremonial horses, and the pets of service members.
