ABOUT ROMAN HEINI

Originally from Germany, I have spent my entire professional life within international grocery, serving for more than two decades with Aldi in a variety of leadership positions in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.From 2018 to 2020 I had the pleasure to serve as a board member for Lidl in Germany and as the Chairman of Lidl US to develop and support one of the biggest brick & mortar ventures in the US.In 2021 I joined Woolworth in Germany as a shareholder and CEO. We aim to expand our network of discount department stores to serve more new customers with an exciting product range combined with an exceptional value preposition for all consumers. Together with over employees in over 600 stores we will strive to further enhance our assortment in many more cities and towns in Germany.The current circumstances for many customers could not be more challenging. But despite inflation and global uncertainty I m very much looking forward to serve our consumers in the future. I m convinced that we have a great chance to turn this difficult time into an opportunity for the years to come.Together - we can do it
