ABOUT ROMAIN COURLET DE VREGILLE

With over 15 years of experience in international business law, I have operated at the intersection of business operations, complex contract negotiation, corporate governance, and cross-border M&A transactions — across France, Spain, and international markets.After training at Gide Loyrette Nouel (M&A department, Paris) and Garrigues (Madrid), I passed the Bar exam to become a qualified M&A lawyer in the Gide team in Paris for almost 5 years. Then I joined Atos, where I held progressively senior roles over 13 years. As General Counsel for Major Events, I led the legal structuring and negotiation of contracts for four Olympic Games and, later, UEFA competitions, working closely with many international institutions across the world. I was honoured to carry the Olympic Torch at the Paris 2024 Games. As General Counsel for Growing Markets, I managed an international team of General Counsels across multiple jurisdictions (South America, Spain, META). I am currently part of the M&A legal team, supporting Atos group\'s strategy in this field.Earlier in my career, I supervised the carve-out of Worldline from the Atos Group ahead of its IPO. At Gide, I worked on the creation of Eurostar as an independent railway operator, navigating a two-year cross-border negotiation between French, English and Belgian stakeholders.My areas of expertise include M&A and transaction structuring, complex contract negotiation (services, sponsorship, IT), corporate governance, competition law, compliance, IP and data protection, litigation strategy, and legal team management.Trilingual in French, English and Spanish, I thrive in multicultural environments and am comfortable advising executive committees and boards on strategic matters.Educated at Sciences Po, Panthéon-Assas (Master in International Tax Law) and HEC Paris (Master in International Legal & Tax Strategy).
