About Romain Ballet
I’m an immunologist working at the intersection of drug discovery, biomarker strategy, and emerging technologies. Over the past decade, I’ve helped advance inflammation and oncology programs at Amgen and now lead research at ThinkCyte, where we develop AI-enabled, label-free flow cytometry approaches to discover new cellular biomarkers and phenotypes.My work focuses on connecting mechanistic immunology to real program decisions — through high-dimensional phenotyping, functional assays, and multimodal data integration. I enjoy building teams, mentoring scientists, and collaborating across disciplines to turn new technologies into practical discovery tools.I’m especially interested in tech-bio environments where AI, CRISPR, and functional genomics are used to better understand disease biology and accelerate drug development.
