In 2006, I founded the independent news agency Pukaar News, followed by launching online news platforms and a quarterly print magazine, including Pukaar Magazine in 2012 and the Leicester Times in 2021. Over the years, I’ve built a trusted platform capturing the pulse of Leicester and its surrounding areas.My team and I have covered diverse stories, from investigative journalism and crime reporting to daily news, both locally and internationally. We’ve also provided news content to major broadcasters like ITV, ITN, and the BBC. Our focus remains on delivering accurate, balanced reporting while countering misinformation and maintaining the highest standards of integrity.Thanks to our dedication to timely and relevant content, we’ve become a trusted source for news, politics, business, and culture. As the leader of these platforms, I oversee editorial direction to ensure our stories resonate with and serve the community.Beyond media, I’ve founded notable events in Leicester, such as the Leicestershire Curry Awards (2017), National Samosa Week (2018), England Curry Capital (2024), and National Thali Week (2025). These initiatives celebrate the region’s rich culture and cuisine while fostering community spirit. I also launched Leicester’s Got Talent, empowering young people to showcase their abilities, and created the Always in Our Thoughts COVID-19 Flower Badge to honour those affected by the pandemic, including victims, their families, and frontline workers.In addition to media and community work, I served as Chairman of Crimestoppers in Leicestershire & Rutland for nearly a decade and in Nottinghamshire for two years. Currently, I contribute to public safety as Vice Chair of the Independent Advisory Group for Leicester City Police. My role as Vice Chair at ABF The Soldiers\' Charity has further allowed me to refine digital media strategies, amplifying important causes and reaching broader audiences.With expertise in media production and journalism, I remain committed to crafting impactful narratives that inform, inspire, and support philanthropic efforts. My mission is to empower individuals, foster community, and drive positive change.
