About Rollin Wood

Licensed attorney-at-law in the State of Colorado and independent petroleum landman. After graduating with a Master of Laws in Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment from the University of Colorado-Boulder, I decided to pursue work as an independent petroleum landman so to learn more about the oil & gas industry and gain valuable experience. While pursuing a Master of Laws, my courses included Mining Law, Energy Law & Regulation, Renewable Energy Project Finance & Development, Foundations of American Natural Resources Law & Policy, Wildlife Law, Land Use Planning, American Indian Law II, and Climate Change Law & Policy. My thesis topic involved uranium mining development near the Grand Canyon, the history of commercial nuclear power, the constitutionality of executive withdrawal authority under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, and separation of powers issues concerning the structure of the modern administrative state. Outside of work I enjoy a good game of golf, having played competitively for 10 years beginning at age eleven. This culminated in one year playing for the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds prior to moving on to academic pursuits.
