ABOUT ROLF TAYLOR

I enjoy solving problems and, if necessary, learning as I do it. I demand customer satisfaction.I have the ability to put myself in Customers’ shoes; to understand and share their pain - and to see clearly ways that it can be alleviated by changes to a product or its associated documentation.Several times a week I see products, product literature, web sites, or product manuals, where I think to myself “do they even have a product manager”? Is anyone working hand-in-hand with the engineers to represent the customer?I am reminded frequently that my ability to see such things is clearly not common. So often I see issues that could be easily remedied, were there someone with my abilities on the team.Specialties-Taking care of customers-Preventative Customer Support-Product definition including user interface & feature set-Deductive troubleshooting, preventative problem solving. Analysis and insight-Product documentation/technical writing-ISDN (BRI/PRI), T1, POTS troubleshooting incl. line & network issues (Incl. protocol analysis). Dealing with the phone company-High quality audio transmission using RTP/UDP/IP over VPNs (MPLS /Metro Ethernet), the Internet, and private links (T1 & radio links).
