About Rohit Yadav

At Ford Motor Company, my role as a Simulation Engineer relies heavily on my proficiency in model-based design for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and vehicle automation platforms. Mastery over tools such as MathWorks\' Simulink, Stateflow, and CANoe Simulation has been pivotal in verifying and validating sophisticated vehicular systems. My work extends beyond technical rigor, embracing a mission to innovate and streamline vehicle automation. With expertise in Linux virtual machines and a track record of enhancing operational efficiency, our team is committed to shaping the future of mobility through cutting-edge simulation and verification techniques.

Experience

  1. Simulation Engineer

    Ford Motor Company

Nov 2019 — Present · Dearborn, MI, US

Enhancing FMU Development and HIL Testing**spearheaded the development of Functional Mockup Units (FMUs) for DSpace and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) testing, significantly improving the efficiency of FASST model and ECU validation processes. Utilizing Dassault and Modelon toolboxes, along with Linux-based scripting, I resolved compatibility issues between 32-bit FMUs and 64-bit Matlab environments. Additionally, I established comprehensive standard operating procedures for FMU processes and collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective troubleshooting.**Virtualization and Model-Based Design**Successfully implemented a Linux virtual machine on a Windows platform, allowing for the operation of applications such as CarMaker, Matlab, and Git on Ubuntu. My expertise extends to model-based design for ADAS and VMAPS applications using Simulink/Stateflow, as well as verifying Simulink models in CANoe. This tool is vital for the development and testing of ECU networks and individual ECUs.**Simulation Expertise**Proficient in conducting Model-in-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-Loop (SIL) simulations with Matlab, Simulink, and CarMaker, I have honed my skills in plant modeling and simulation automation. I integrated PhySimod models with FASST/CC models and CarMaker using UDP connections and developed MATLAB scripts to automate Simulink-based FASST models for ECUs and complete vehicle simulations.**Testing and Automation**Conduct virtual simulations and testing of Ford vehicles using the CarMaker simulation tool and validate models using CANoe. My work also includes creating and importing FMUs from Dymola to Simulink and automating FASST-FMU integration using M-scripting and the Modelon FMI Toolbox.
