I help law firms and legal teams apply AI to litigation, compliance, and investigations in ways that are defensible, auditable, and aligned with legal risk standards.Over the past 18+ years, I’ve designed and led AI-driven solutions across complex litigation, regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and eDiscovery, working closely with attorneys to ensure that technology reduces complexity while avoiding introducing new risk. My work has included supporting Am Law 100 and Magic Circle law firms, as well as Fortune 100 companies, across a range of high-stakes legal and regulatory matters.I’ve seen firsthand where AI succeeds in legal contexts and where it fails. Many systems optimize for recall or novelty but inadvertently increase attorney cognitive load, undermine professional judgment, or create defensibility challenges. My approach emphasizes measured automation, explainability, and governance, particularly in matters where accuracy, proportionality, and trust matter more than speed alone.In addition to litigation and investigations, my experience includes enterprise compliance monitoring, contract compliance, and regulatory response, as well as leading AI feasibility assessments in areas such as patent surveillance, procurement analytics, and billing analytics. In each case, the focus has been on evaluating where advanced analytics can be applied responsibly and where human judgment should remain central.I bring a dual background in deep technical training and business strategy, with a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Chicago Booth. This combination allows me to translate between technology and legal professionals - aligning model design, operating constraints, and commercial realities with the way law firms and legal departments actually operate.Areas of focus include- AI-assisted litigation and investigations workflows- Privilege-aware document analysis and review- Compliance analytics and regulatory risk assessment- Responsible use of LLMs in legal decision supportI’m particularly interested in conversations around how law firms and legal teams can adopt AI thoughtfully without compromising professional judgment, defensibility, or client trust.
