As someone who’s always been fascinated by how technology can solve real-world problems, my journey in computer science has been both exciting and fulfilling. Currently pursuing my Master’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I am set to graduate in December 2024. Each project I\'ve tackled has deepened my appreciation for the intersection of data science and software engineering—a space where innovation thrives. During my time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I had the opportunity to guide over 60 students through the complete development lifecycle of full-stack projects. We navigated everything from UI/UX design using Figma to creating scalable back-end architectures together. It was incredibly rewarding to see students transform their ideas into functional applications while I led interactive workshops that made learning engaging. Before this role, I worked as a Software Engineer with Wissen Infotech in India for six months. There, I focused on designing high-performance software solutions using Python and Django while building RESTful APIs that ensured seamless integration between customer-facing systems and internal processes. One of my proudest moments was optimizing an API that improved response times significantly—making life easier for both developers and users. My previous experience as a Software Research Assistant at Vellore Institute of Technology was equally impactful. I developed responsive web solutions that not only enhanced user experience but also reduced development time through better database performance optimization. It was gratifying to apply usability insights directly into my work—each improvement felt like a small victory. Outside of work and studies, I\'m passionate about sharing knowledge—whether it\'s through mentoring students or collaborating with peers on innovative projects. I believe in the power of community learning and often find inspiration in discussing new ideas.    Dec 2024 — Present

   At Local Grown Salads, I designed and deployed scalable, cloud-native infrastructure by implementing Istio service mesh on Kubernetes clusters to enhance microservice observability and traffic control. I containerized applications using Docker, deployed them on GCP and OpenShift, and leveraged Terraform for infrastructure as code to optimize resource utilization and reduce cloud costs. I improved backend performance by optimizing APIs and queries, automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab, and integrated SonarQube to strengthen security within development workflows. Additionally, I enhanced data access speeds by tuning PostgreSQL and MongoDB schemas and fine-tuned Linux-based systems to support high-performance Kubernetes workloads.
