About Rohit Gupta

I\'m a part of Microsoft AI, currently working with the crawler team to fetch billions of web data. I\'m still in learning phase and need to figure out what I\'m going to be working on here.In Meta, I was on Data Infra org. Majorly worked on tooling to help customers analyze their capacity usage of Data Warehouse services. I’ve also worked on Monitoring and observability services of meta with very high throughput systems emitting realtime metrics. Before this, I worked at fabric, leading 2 teams, cart-checkout and OMS team, my work includes everything from architecture design to collaboration to implementation and customer delivery and engagement. My main goal right now is to enable others to succeed.Previously, I worked in Digital Benchmarking team where we compared Amazon products with its competitors and produced data to influence business decisions for Amazon products. I also worked for Amazon Video in its platform team prior to that. Before that, I worked at Microsoft in Visual Studio Online commerce team. I did my Masters from UNC Chapel Hill, NC in Computer Science department. I was a researcher in 3D Computer Vision Lab also a TA in Artificial Intelligence course. In Cassidian, I worked on robust Object tracking and detection algorithm for UAV imagery to handle occlusion and perspective changes. It used different Classifiers like SVM, Fern with feature vectors like HoG and LBP.
