About Rohit Vaidya
As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, I am working on developing novel fluorescence super-resolution imaging techniques to study molecular mechanisms of learning and memory in mouse brain tissue. I have a PhD in Biophysics from the same university, where I acquired a highly interdisciplinary training and also coordinated with four research collaborators from USA and Japan to successfully complete my thesis project. My research interests and skills span across super-resolution microscopy, image analysis, nonlinear optics, fluorescence spectroscopy, mice breeding, and tissue handling. I am looking for opportunities where I can not only apply the skills I have learnt so far, but also challenge myself to learn new ones.
