About Rohit R Kulkarni

The adage once a musician always a musician defines me as a person. But along the way, the rolling stone has gathered more dimensions. I have composed soundtracks for feature films, I\'m a jingle maker for ad films and a creator of songs across all platforms. I started out at a young age demonstrating my prowess on the piano but quickly incorporated some very nuanced understanding of rhythm into my play. I was welcomed into the field of professional music by some of the greatest composers of Hindi film music starting with my all-time mentor – the legendary R.D. Burman. As a child, I was in awe of him and so many years later I still look up to him for inspiration that crosses the divide of the past and the present. After all, not for nothing do we say, music is immortal. Also, my ease with both Western Classical and Indian classical music lends my compositions a versatility and a solidity that is desirable. Not that a composer of music needs to be a virtuoso, but my facility with playing often has made me a better composer. Sessions have turned into a performance. Now to mention a few of the pieces of work I have composed: The award-winning soundtracks for Mary Kom, Wazir, and Porkhalam. I have also scored for some very fine ads for brands like Amazon, Paytm, Microsoft India, Dabur, McDonald\'s India, Toyota, Renault India, Maharashtra DGIPR, Suzuki, Quickr, Bank of Baroda, CitiGold, Odisha Tourism, FBB, Isuzu Motors India, Bajaj Allianz, These are mere milestones in a musical journey that is heading for new highs.
