Project Title : Autopilot software -VOYAGER AI -for autonomous and remotely operated vesselsThe project involved the development and maintenance of internal C#/.NET tools and autopilot software (VOYAGER AI) for autonomous and remotely operated vessels. It encompassed designing and testing control algorithms for vessel heading, speed, and path-following, ensuring precise navigation and robust performance in both simulated and real-time maritime environments.During the development phase, collaboration with systems and hardware engineers was critical to integrate sensors and actuators, including CAN bus communications using NMEA and J1939 PGNs. The team utilized diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, CANalyzer, and custom scripts to debug traffic and ensure reliable device communication.The project embraced Agile software development methodologies, following iterative sprints to ensure adaptability and continuous improvement. Focus was also placed on optimizing internal software architecture and improving workflow efficiency through modular, maintainable C#/.NET applications, establishing a robust pipeline for integrating complex components and enhancing overall system reliability.
